Today, I’ll be presenting to the University of Memphis‘ graduate teaching assistants (GTAs). This is the third year I’ve been invited to present to the new teaching assistants by Dr. Karen Weddle-West, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies. I always find this presentation fun and engaging. This eager bunch of students and novice teachers are looking for practical advice with teaching and learning. That’s what I’m talking about tomorrow: Tips for teaching on-ground and online. I’ve embedded the slide deck below, and here’s the link to my professional development wiki, where my notes are located.
While this presentation is not about “technology” per se, I do mention a lot of tips for integrating technology into teaching and learning. This year, I’m also going to mention using QR codes and mobile devices, too. I think it will be a fun time. Is there an opportunity for me to speak with folks at your school? If so, let me know. I would like to do it, and I’ll see if I can make it work.
