Elvis Impersonator Tiger by Steve Harper. Sponsored by Hon. Robert L. "Butch" Childers (BBA '71, JD '74) and Amy J. Amundsen (JD '87).

This is from my inbox, and it’s pretty cool. So, I thought I would share it with everybody.  If you’ve seen the painted cows, painted goats, painted bulldogs, or even painted horses then to celebrate the 100th anniversary of UofM, we’ll have painted tigers!

You’re Invited to see all 100 TIGERS TOGETHER when we let the cat out of the bag on September 10, 2011 at 12:00 noon.

Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Noon
Student Plaza – U of M Campus

To celebrate the University’s Centennial, the Alumni Association is placing 100 life-size Tigers all around Town. Each statue has been uniquely decorated with artwork by students, alumni and artists from the Mid-South. Each Tiger represents one year of the University’s 100 year history.

Join us for this unique opportunity to see all 100 Tigers together in one place. Bring the whole family to enjoy sodas, hot dogs and all the fixins, along with music by “Soul Outsiders” and inflatable bouncies.

For more information please contact Alumni Coordinator Alexa Begonia at hbegonia@memphis.edu or 901/678-3873.
